March 19
Body weight today is 248. Its finally creeping up slowly. I am training hard and eating more, but my sleep is down. About 6 hours a night. I need to fix that problem. Work is going great and I have a bunch of clients competing soon! I will be going on SUPERHUMAN RADIO again on Tuesday at 1! Hmmmmm.....That's all I got for now, lol. Trying to stay consistent with these though :)

Arnold Recap... A Bit Late
OK well, its been almost 2 weeks since the Arnold and I know I am behind, so I'm going to just recap this fast... so without further hesitation here we go:
THURSDAY- Met up with fellow SPECIES athletes Juan Morrel and Kat Ramirez at Juan's house in New Rochelle and flew out of Laguardia together. The flight was smooth and we landed in Columbus around 2ish. Checked into my hotel and then spent that night hanging with lots of friends and my roommate Aaron Singerman.
FRIDAY- day 1 of the expo, I got up extra early to get my face painted like Arnold from the movie Predator. The theme of the SPECIES booth this year was army camouflage and I decided to take it really over the top and come up with a character GI BRAUN. I had Bullets, grenades and a fat cigar lol.
Before I went to the expo I swung by Evans room to see how he looked. He was really amazing! I thought he was beyond ready!
Expo was fun, I got to meet lots of awesome fans and make new friends. It was a great day all around. That night I took it easy with some friends and stayed in my hotel.
SATURDAY- got up early again to go check on Evan once more. He really blew my mind!! I knew he would be a serious contender!
Expo was INSANE on Saturday! So many people!!! Its a really tiring weekend being out there for all this madness and I cant really describe what its like being there, you kinda just have to see it for yourself.
Men's final came down to Branch Warren first, Dennis Wolf second, Victor Martinez third, and then Evan fourth. Many thought Evan should have been second, but it was Branch's show. I'm glad he finally got an Arnold Victory, he is such a HARD WORKER!
Saturday Nite a bunch of us went to the After Party they have every year. It didn't seem as crazy as years past, but it was still a fun night.
Sunday- Last day of the expo, everyone is usually tired as hell by this point and the crowd is much smaller. Still a very busy day! My flight was at 5 so I left the expo around 2:30
FLIGHT FROM HELL : so my plane gets delayed about 45 min because of a "storm" in NY. We finally take off and I pass right out. I wake up and turn on my phone and realize we should be landing. The captain comes on the pa and explains that because this storm is so bad we cant land. Then we start going through some crazy turbulence! People were crying and scared. We tried to land TWICE and both times the aeroplane got tossed around so much we missed the landings. At this point we started running out of fuel so they did an emergency landing in Providence, Road Island. There were no more flights when we landed so 6 of us rented a mini van and drove all the way back! I got home around 3 in the morning...I was supposed to be home by 7.
Over all it was a really great weekend and all though it took me a few days to recover I had a great time.
Now Its time to focus on myself and try to make some big gains!

Off to the ARNOLD!
Its 7:30 am Thursday morning and I am getting set to get out of my house and head to the Airport for the ARNOLD CLASSIC! This is the biggest weekend of the year for bodybuilding and fitness related activities! I am super excited to get out there and see the madness, meet fans and friends and just have a great time! I will give a full recap when I get back! Good luck to my boy Evan Centopani coming off his big win at the FlexPro show!!!
Check out my latest video training at GOLDS VENICE with Jose Raymond and Aaron Singerman, its not an intense workout by any means but the audio is on the whole time and we bust each others balls alot. Its a funny watch. Its right on the front of www.rxmuscle.com and I have it posted on my facebook.

Told ya I was gonna be consistent!
Training has been going great. Had a kick ass leg workout today. Got under 500lbs on the squat for the first time since last spring and it felt fine. I only did 4 reps, but I had more and I didn't want to get crazy since I have only been at 405 for a couple weeks. Feels good to move some heavy weight and I don't stop till my ass hits the floor. 2 more busy days of work and then I'm off to the Arnold! Cant wait.
This past Saturday I did a store Grand Re-Opening in Scranton PA. I had a great time and met some really cool people. They had a really neat ultrasound machine that tested body fat. I let them do mine....7.o% pretty pleased considering all I have been going through. That's all for now.

WHERE HAVE I BEEN?!?!?!?!
Ok Everyone, its been a while and I really must apologize. A swarm of bad luck came my way and it distracted me from my normal behavior and that isn't right. I am not one to make excuses so I will detail whats been going on and try to get back into the grove of regularly blogging! My apologies to all my fans, clients and friends who have been asking about the lack of blogs. Its actually really nice to see how many of you appreciate it.
Went to a few Jets games this year including the Thanksgiving game with my Step Dad. We had a blast deep frying Turkeys with a bunch of great people. Talk about a cool way to spend Thanksgiving!!! Unfortunately my beloved Gang Green let me down at the end as usual. Right around that time I hurt my knee and had to skip training legs for about 5 weeks. This was really frustrating as legs are my body part in need of the most attention! As soon as I came back from that I strained my anterior delt on my left shoulder and had to skip most upper body training for about 4 weeks.
I managed to maintain most of my size and fullness but certainly was not improving...NOW...durring the last few weeks of December I came down with a really nagging "cold" that I could not seem to beat. I think that since I was training alot, working like crazy and basically running myself into the ground, I just couldn't kick it...
That's when I got really ill. Had it not been for my friend rushing me to an emergency clinic I don't know what would have truly happened. I had such a bad infection in my throat that it completely closed. I had to take Prendisone steroids to get the swelling to come down just so I could swallow water. I also had to take 2 different kinds of strong antibiotics. This wiped me out for about 2 weeks and I lost over 20lbs!!! I have not been this sick since...well I guess ever!
Once I got better I was back in the gym around 231lbs and the weights felt WAY to heavy. I decided to go very easy for a week and let my body adjust. My second week back Nicole's father got very Ill and had to get rushed to the hospital. He wound up dying of Leukemia about 2 weeks later. This 2 weeks was one of the saddest times of my life. I have never witnessed anyone die from cancer before and being in the hospital really wore me down. Seeing sick children really messed me up the worst, sometimes I found myself sitting at home alone thinking about the poor families and what they were going through and I would just cry. Its hard to sit there and watch when you cant do anything for the people you love. I think I was most sad that I could not offer any words of wisdom or advice for the tragedy that Nicole's family went through, I like to think of my self as a good motivator and beacon of wisdom, but I had nothing. All I could do was offer hugs. It was really hard to train during that time and I missed meals consistently. Sometimes Life gets in the way and puts things in your regular routine on the back burner and you have to just accept it. Going through this made me realize how fortunate I am to have a healthy family. I will never hang up the phone on anyone in my family again without saying I love you first. You never know when something horrible can strike. Life is short and precious.
The funeral was a really beautiful service. The singer that came to the church sang like an angel and her rendition of Ave Maria was the most beautiful display of live singing I have ever witnessed.
RIP ALPHONSE VITALE- You were a great man loved by so many.
Once everything calmed down a couple of weeks ago I was able to start slowly getting serious again, and focus on myself and my training. My appetite has not been the same since I got sick, but this past weekend out in California for the Flexpro I think it started to finally come back!
FLEX PRO- I went out to the Flex Pro for the main reason of helping my good friend Evan Centopani with any little thing he may have needed. I wound up doing 4 different videos for www.rxmuscle.com and running around like crazy. I had a fun time with Dave Palumbo and Aaron Singerman as always and was there to help Evan get a few coats of tan on and offer my opinion to him through out has last hours of carb loading to make sure he was as perfect as can be. No one is more meticulous and careful with his planning than Evan, it is truly impressive to watch. Evan wound up BLOWING EVERYONE AWAY! He shocked everyone (except me) and established himself as one of the best in the world now and a threat to take the Arnold crown next weekend. I was so happy to be there!! Evan is a true champion with the heart of a lion and if I wasn't fired up enough already being out at golds gym in Venice ( the mecca of bodybuilding), seeing my boy dominate like that got me so amped up to train when I got home!!!
This week has been my best week of eating and training this whole off season! My weight is up to 244 and I am very lean despite doing ZERO cardio. Hopefully I can really improve now and make it to the USA's or I will have to abandon my original plans and compete later in the year. I hate to do that but I am WAY behind where I need to be.
I think that pretty much brings me back to today now and I am going to be back on here consistent so keep checking in. I love my fans and my clients and I should not have let so many people sit waiting to see how I was doing. I am very fortunate to have that many people care.
On a side not I have a nice spread in the March MuscleMag as well as a cool shot in March's Planet Muscle
Time to get my game face back on for good and make the most of the remaing offseason!

Holy Crap I am so busy!!!! Business is booming so I will never complain! it would be nice to have some down time. Wed I recorded my 4th episode of SUPERHUMAN radio. This episode was on back training. I strongly urge you guys to go to www.superhumanradio.com and check out my past episodes, I guarantee you will learn at least one thing you thank me for!!
Training is going great, my body weight today was 251. I am big hard and strong!
I decided to get to baby kittens this week so Piglet could have companions since I am home so little and he gets lonely. The babies are only 6 weeks old and are a bit of work, but I love them so much!

Nov 5
Its almost 3 weeks since I left Atlanta now and I think my rebound has finally slowed. I was 247.4 yesterday but 246.6 today and this is the first day it hasn't gone up. I am very excited about what is going on these first three weeks and I am assuming I can still capitalize on this rebound another 2-3 weeks! Ideally I would like to be a very solid 255 at the end of those 2-3 weeks and I will then back off and take it easy so I can let my system clean out for about 6-8 weeks. My body could use a bit of down time. I am back to training intense and I love it! The pumps I am getting are great!!
So far I am only training 4 days a week:
Mon- legs
Tues- chest
Wed- off
Thurs- back
Fri- shoulders and arms
sat and sun- off
Next week I am going to get back to a 5 day split.

The Future of PJ....?
Well nationals has come and gone and for those of you not very close to me or not on the bodybuilding chat boards or face book, I did not win. I placed 9th. I was in the best shape of my life and I looked AWESOME! For some reason I got overlooked. It happens sometimes. I do not feel I should have won. Fred Smalls was the true winner and I am happy for him, however I do feel I should have gotten compared with the top 5 and I had a bitter taste in my mouth after the show since I wasn't. I am over it now and have moved on.
I am very fortunate to have such a supportive family, not only do my parents love what I do, but my grandparents and Step grandparents support me like crazy too! Its really special to have my family in my corner!
I also have a really great group of friends. So many actually. I can say with all honesty if you treat people the way you want to be treated it comes back to you ten fold. I have awesome friends who take good care of me!
After the show I did a kick ass shoot with Juan Morel for MUSCLEMAG. I will be sure to post when it comes out!
I took the week after the show to totally relax and eat like a slob. I really poured everything I had into this and needed some time away from the gym. Taking a week off is strange for me and I have a new fire now that I am back into the gym!!
So what does the future hold? Considering I was next to death making the heavyweight cutoff there is no chance I can ever compete in that class again. I have decided to take a step back from the top of the game to focus on the Junior Nationals in June. I want to establish myself as a new and Improved BIGGER version of myself in the super heavyweights and I feel that I should go to Juniors first so the Judges can get a good look at my transformation. From there I will decide what to do next.

2 days out!
This will most likely be my last blog before Nationals. I leave in a few hours for the airport, just getting the last of my stuff together over here. I suffered with very low calories through yesterday to get whatever remaining bit of fat I could off and today my body weight was 225.6. I woke up about 90min earlier than normal so I would guess normal time it would be 225. I am very flat and depleted but in damn good shape! Best condition of my life! Today I start carbing up and reducing my protein. Usually when I do this the first day I drop some more weight so that should put me right where I need to be for weigh ins tomorrow. Most likely I wont be able to drink water tomorrow until the night weigh ins but I have gone through dehydration before. I am very thankful for all the support I have in my life from my family and awesome friends as well as all my awesome fans. Its easier to keep pushing when you know how many people have faith in you!
I am very confident in what I look like this year and after Friday I will be a champion. I have some really cool pics up on my facebook so go check them out! For now I am off! Thank you so much Everyone and thank you SPECIES for taking good care of me!

4 days out!
After my low calories yesterday I am down to 227.8 which really fired me up! 225 seems so much closer now. I am going to continue with the lower calories again today and maybe go just strait protein and veggie for 6 meals tomorrow, but I am feeling confident as ever. One key element for the next few days is that I am going to try to really increase my water intake. I usually do about a gallon a day...some days I may get up to a gallon and a half if its a very hard training day. Well for the next couple days I am shooting for 2 gallons just to keep my self peeing and flushing weight out. I still don't look that overly flat yet which is a positive. I mean I am not full like I want to be, but I am not totally emaciated like I expected.
I have a photo shoot today, I will talk more about it in tomorrows blog but I am looking forward to working with this gentleman!

5 days out!
For starters I want to congratulate my client Nick Lepore for winning the bantam weights at the Eastern USA yesterday! Nick looked awesome and was a pleasure to work with! More clients like that please!!!! Also a HUGE congrats to my friend and fellow SPECIES athlete Melissa Di Bernardo for winning the woman's overall bodybuilding title! She looked AMAZING!
Yesterday was a long tiring day. I was up 2 hours earlier than normals to make it down to NYC for the show. I had packed an extra meal of just fish and asparagus because I know how long and draining of a day those shows can be. After the Prejudging me and SPECIES athlete Juan Morel ( a favorite in the heavyweights) went to his gym on 14th street to train. We were both dead but it was just arms so we got through. Then I headed over to my buddies house to practice posing, and I had 45 min of cardio to do!
Today my weight was 230.4lbs so I am going to remove some calories...about 400 to be exact all from carbs. I am also doing double 45 min sessions of cardio today but in between I will be resting and watching football. Only 5 more days!

Easterns and 1 week out!!
VERY long day today and I apologize to those of you attending or thinking of attending Eastern USA's in NYC tomorrow for not posting this early. I will be at the prejudge repping SPECIES and I also have a client Nick Lepore competing in the bantam weights. He looks awesome and is going to do damage in his class! Also good luck to my friend and fellow SPECIES athlete Melissa Di Bernardo competing in woman's bodybuilding! She looks awesome!
I am one week out today and I have to thank my boy IFBB pro Guy Cisternino for destroying me in a back workout Thursday! I never would have went that hard or heavy without him. I felt like I was going to pass out by the end of the workout and he kept telling me I was a pussy and he was working out like that 2 weeks before his show! LOL, Of course I reminded him that I am 1 week out and that makes a HUGE difference in energy! The workout was Intense as hell and he was telling me no one is working harder than me...and I believe that. I also believe that no one is prepping more intelligently then me. I have really got in tune with my body and mind as one this year. Its amazing. I am never satisfied and know I can still Improve greatly each day until the show and that excites me greatly based on what i look like now!!
Today I got a painful deep tissue massage from my therapist Tatyana. I made her go as hard as she could on my legs and back especially because I believe it helps rid your muscle of waste and scar tissue and helps your separation. Nothing like a sharp elbow being driven into the back of your hamstring!
I have been having dreams, or nightmares I should say, about food now. This is common for me before a show.
body weight this morning was 230lbs.

1 week till I leave!
1 more week and I get on my flight to Atlanta. 1 more week of cardio. 5 more workouts in the gym. Its all coming together! I am in that last stage of suffering but its all gonna be worth it when I taste victory. My trouble spot for years, my glutes, have striations that I have never seen and I have so much separation in my legs! I cant wait to see the finished product. Today is a much needed cardio only day and I am going to rest as much as I can! body weight this morning 231.

Last leg workout!
Today is the last day I will crush my legs. With 10 more days until the show I am going to kill them today and then let them rest. Of course they will still get lots of stimulation from the cardio, but no more direct work. This should help my separation really pop by the time I get on stage!
Bodyweight this morning was 233.

Down with the SIKNESS?!
Have you ever been happy about getting sick? Well this week it happened to me. I havent felt right lately and Monday I was just exhausted. I felt so weak and out of it. I have been tired on diets before but not like this. My training partner for legs thought I looked pretty shitty, but I just laughed it off and toughed it out through a kind of mild workout. Nothing like what I normally do for legs. When I was done I got very dizzy and lite headed. I went home and passed out on the couch. I never take naps ever so I guess I was happy to get the sleep but surprised I passed out. That night I slept a good 8 hours and woke up feeling awful Tuesday. Doing my morning cardio was brutal and exhausting but I made it through. I sat on the couch and dozed off for an hour after I ate my breakfast. When I woke up my stomach was very upset and I had to run to the bathroom. I wound up going to the bathroom about 5 times over the next 2 hours...still I pressed on.
My chest workout Tuesday was awful. I went about 75% what I normally do and it felt like I was going 150%...I made it through the workout and at the end my partner said my lips were very white and my eyes were glassy...I said to him that I never felt so mentally defeated and I wasnt sure how I could make it 4 more weeks like that. I said I felt like I was gonna drop any second.
I cancelled all my work that night and drove to CVS so I could buy a thermomiter. I checked my temp in the parking lot and it was 100.3.... So I went back in and bought some tylenol. by the time I got home I was freazing cold so I checked my temp again and it was up to 101.9. I took the tylenol and layed on the couch. Eventually I started burning up and my fever broke.
Wed I stayed home and rested all day and I am finaly starting to feel better today. I was able to get an OK back workout in, but mentally feel alot better. I know now I can regroup this weekend with some rest and press on!

Tired of being TIRED!!
I have been so tired lately. I am actually sleeping a bit better...THANK GOD...but still so exhausted. My workouts are suffering slightly but I am listening to my body and giving all I have. If I have to back off the volume I will, but I push myself hard. I cant get hurt this close to a show. I honestly cant remember feeling this tired this far out. Inside of 4 weeks so I can handle the suffering but its strange. Whats the most strange is that I am not hungry at all! Just tired. I am trying to get all the rest I can.
I had a great time guest posing on Saturday Nite despite how exhausted I was. For those of you who couldn't see it, the video is up on www.rxmuscle.com as well as my facebook page.
I have now decided to see if I can make the journey down to heavyweight. After discussing things with people I respect a lot, many feel I will be unbeatable if I can make that weight and then fill back out again. So the push for 225 has begun! This morning my weight was 239.

I am guest posing this Saturday at the NPC Brooklyn. If you are in the NY area come check it out. I am in damn good condition and ready to rock the house. Also SPECIES own Juan Diesel Morel will be posing too...and guess who the MC is? The godfather of SPECIES himself Dave Palumbo! Lots of reasons to come check it out! Don't miss it!
Just outside of 4 weeks and sleep has become scarce. I would kill for sleep at this point. My body is so tired but my mind wont rest. I visualize myself at Nationals at nite, I think about my business ventures, clients, love, what I can do to improve...My brain wont stop! Eventually it catches up to me and I crash bad.
Weight this morning was 238. I am looking really lean and am happy with my new size and grainy condition. I am going to do my best to keep blogging.I know many of you enjoy this and I am a giant douche for not doing it more often!

Bump in the road...
So my week started off fairly normal. Big cheat on Sunday, blast legs Monday...
This time things went a little different. Sunday I decided to go for a bit of an out door hike for my cardio. It took about an hour and at the end my knees were quite sore. Monday during my leg workout, I had to back off the weights on some of my exercises because my knees felt like they were going to literally explode! At the end of my workout I got very sick to my stomach. I thought I was going to puke but I wound up being OK. For the rest of the day I didn't feel right so I just layed on the couch. That night my knees were so sore it kept me from sleeping!
Tuesday rolls around and I am exhausted. I had tons of errands to do, and I felt so crappy, I almost canceled work and my workout! I never do that! I decided to tough it out and I managed to get it all done.
On my way home I was sitting at a traffic light and I fell asleep! I saw some green as I came too, and I got startled and hit the gas...unfortunately it was for the lane next to me and I wound up smashing the guy in front of me. Everyone was fine, but I dented his bumper. I was pissed at myself, but shit happens, and it could have been way worse! That night I finally slept and I felt better today! Back to being focused on my show!
weight is 241. I have some exciting news I will reveal in my next blog!

6 weeks out!
Very light today- 237.5. pretty flat, but very lean. I will bust my ass through today then eat up again tomorrow. Training is going awesome. I have some freaks to train legs and chest with! I am feeling confident and ahead of schedule. Wish I could sleep better, but that's always been an issue for me.
Congrats to my boy and fellow SPECIES sponsored athlete Juan "Diesel" Morel for top call out last nite at the North Americans. Juan looked Nasty and should finish no worse than 2nd!
